I Said, What About, Meet us in Asheville

Published by Elizabeth Greenberg on 17th May 2016

We will be in Asheville starting this Thursday, May 18th, through Saturday, May 21st, for the 33rd Annual Asheville Lions Club Benefit Horse Show. This is one of the top rated saddlebred horse shows in the US with the proceeds going to support the Asheville Lions Eye Clinic that provides free eye care services to children and adults in need.

In addition to the spectacles of the horse show, there is also a golf tournament on the preceding Wednesday, an exhibitors party on Friday evening following the competition, and a special exhibitors party Saturday evening for the show’s junior competitors. Along with the festivities and the shopping, this show allows you to pamper yourself even more with the opportunity to purchase a sky box to watch the show, and golf carts to get you to and from where you want to be!

Along with the traditional classes that one would expect to see at a saddlebred show, this particular competition features a division called, “Academy”. In order to be eligible to compete in the Academy Division, the horse must be a lesson horse, or used in a lesson program, and showed by multiple riders apart from the owner. For this division, only the riders are judged, giving kids a chance to compete on a level ground despite not owning their own show horse.

All in all, this show is great fun, and set right in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.

If you choose to pay us a visit, which we hope you do, you may find some of these exquisite new pieces we have for sale at our Caracol Silver booth.

2016 Horse Coin Pendant

We love our newest member of the Caracol Collection, designed just for us by J. MacNeill! If you’re a horse person, you can’t help but fall in love with this piece; the way the horses interact with one another, playful yet sincere, in complete freedom. Add this pendant on to any of our necklaces for the complete Caracol equestrian inspired look.

Circles of Silver Bracelet

This is a great, simplistic, bracelet that adds some subtle jingle and catches that light as you walk across the room. Stay in style while also remaining functional as you go about your day at the show with this Tiffany inspired sterling silver bracelet.

See you on Thursday!
